On arrival at Delhi IGIA  proceed through immigration. There is adedicated area and look for the sign mention TVOA (Tourist Visa On Arrival). You must have your visa letter (ETA - Electronic Travel Authorization) from theIndian Consulate - this needs to be provided with your passport. Processing isrelatively simple however they do tend to have problems with their fingerprintscanner and tourist still in line so don't worry it is not you!!

You will be meet tour representative holding a "Driver India Private Tours (DIPT) " paging Play Card . You will need to stroll along the multitude of PLAY CARD holders to locate our rep. They will then ensure your safe and rapid transfer to hotel in Delhi or accordingly.

Travel Insurance

Travel health insurance is mandatory for all our travellers. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects.

You must provide proof of your travel health insurance prior to departure and without it you may not be able to join the trip.

Money Exchange

You do not need to travel to India with any local currency or travel check. Now at airport and mostly all destination have ATM Machine so you can easily withdraw cash or you can use your card for most places.the limit of withdrawing from ATMs is INR 10,000/- per transaction. Also Visa and Bankcard are widely accepted every place.

General Tips

At the Monuments there are separate lines for foreigners. At most places there are different prices for foreigners even if there are not different lines.

Best is , carry toilet paper with you at all times. There are no guarantees that it will be in any bathroom in India specially on the way when you are going one place to other city.

ALWAYS keep your passport, plane ticket, money and camera with you.

Too many people try to cram too much into a visit to India. Don’t be one of them. See in gone place slowly is so much more rewarding than seeing many places in a flash. You’ll be less stressed, gain a deeper understanding of where you are and have more time to build relationships with the people you meet.

If something doesn't go right, smile and be persistent in what you want. Getting mad, yelling or fist pounding will only be met with resistance.

As soon as you arrive some place, arrange your way on to your next stop. Trains/planes/("first class") buses tend to get booked up in advance.

Travel agencies can usually get reservations for you as they book blocks of seats well in advance.

Avoid tap water, and any food that may have been washed in it, at all times. No ice, no salads and no fruit you haven’t just peeled yourself. Always buy packed water bottle before to paycheck properly it is packed water by famous company or not.

Many travelers go veggie whilst in India. It’s not a bad idea. A dodgy bit of meat will do you a lot more harm than slightly under cooked vegetables. Plus, many Indians are vegetarian, so there’s a fabulous choice of vegetarian food. If you do eat meat, make sure it’s well cooked. If in doubt, eat at a place that’s packed with locals. And after your dinner best is drink small alcohol.

Toilets are notoriously bad in India, but they don’t have to be health hazards.Consider using the left-hand-and-water-jug method preferred by many locals (it is, after all, so much more hygienic than using dry paper), but don’t forget to carry soap with you so you can wash your hands properly afterwards.

When asking directions to some place, ask several people not only person, and keep asking as you go. Because normally in India no body want say these word “Sorry I not know this “so ask some people.
